Terms of Use

1. What Ukrainian Pages is

Ukrainian Pages is a free online directory that helps people find Ukrainian-owned and Ukrainian-speaking businesses, services and community events. We are not a party to any agreement between visitors and providers. We do not employ, recommend, endorse, license, insure or guarantee any provider, and we do not verify their qualifications, permits or work.

2. Information is provided as is

Listings, events, reviews, search results, translations and answers from the Promin assistant come from providers, users, public sources and automated tools. They may be incomplete, outdated or wrong. Some listings were created from public web information and are marked unclaimed until the business confirms them.

Always confirm details, prices, licences and availability directly with the provider before relying on them. Your dealings with any provider are at your own risk.

3. Accounts

You must be at least 16 years old and give accurate information. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

4. Providers and listings

Listing a business is free. By submitting or claiming a listing, you confirm that you are authorized to represent the business, that the information is accurate and lawful, and that you hold all licences required for your services.

Listings, edits and reviews may be moderated. We may refuse, edit for format, hide or remove any content at our discretion, including unclaimed listings at the request of the business.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of content you post (text, photos, videos, reviews). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, translate, adapt for format and distribute it on the site, in search engines, and in promotion of the directory, for as long as it is on the site and a reasonable time after.

You confirm that you have the rights to what you post and that it does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights.

6. Rules of conduct

Do not post false, misleading, defamatory, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit or illegal content; fake or paid reviews, or reviews of your own business or a competitor; spam or unsolicited advertising; or malware. Do not scrape, copy in bulk or resell the directory, bypass limits or security, impersonate others, or use the site to collect other people's contact information.

7. Reviews

Reviews must reflect a genuine personal experience. Reviews express the opinion of their authors, not ours. We may decline or remove reviews that break these rules.

8. Third-party websites

Links to provider websites, social media and other sites are for convenience. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, products, privacy practices or availability.

9. Copyright and takedown

If you believe content on the site infringes your rights or concerns your business, write to hello@ukrainianpages.com with the page link and an explanation. We will review it promptly and remove content when appropriate.

10. Our content and brand

The Ukrainian Pages name, logo, badges, design, articles and the compilation of the directory belong to us or our licensors. Members may display the official Ukrainian Pages member badge on their own website as offered on the site. Any other use requires our written permission.

11. No warranty

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site and all content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted and error-free operation.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, 9418-9867 Québec Inc., its directors, employees, volunteers and partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, business or goodwill, arising from your use of the site, any content, or any service, product or dealing with a provider or other user. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to the greater of 100 Canadian dollars or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (the site is free, so normally zero plus that minimum).

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including under the Quebec Consumer Protection Act or the Civil Code of Québec for intentional or gross fault, or for bodily or moral injury. Consumers keep all rights that their local law grants them.

13. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify 9418-9867 Québec Inc. against claims, damages and reasonable legal costs arising from content you post, your listing or services, or your breach of these terms or of anyone's rights, to the extent permitted by law.

14. Changes and ending the service

We may change, suspend or stop any part of the site at any time. We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and continued use after an update means you accept it. You may stop using the site and delete your account at any time.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Subject to any mandatory rights of consumers to sue in their own place of residence, disputes will be heard by the competent courts of the judicial district of Montreal, Quebec.

16. General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. If the English and Ukrainian versions differ, the English version prevails, to the extent permitted by law.
