Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026
Ukrainian Pages (ukrainianpages.com) is operated by 9418-9867 Québec Inc., a company based in Quebec, Canada ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and the choices you have. It is written to meet Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25), Canada's PIPEDA, and, where they apply to you, the EU and UK GDPR and US state privacy laws.
1. Person in charge of privacy
Our person in charge of the protection of personal information can be reached at hello@ukrainianpages.com. Write to this address for any question, request or complaint about your information.
2. What we collect
Account information: your name, email address, preferred language and, if you choose, a phone number and profile picture.
Listing and event information that providers submit: business name, description, contact channels, address, photos and videos. This information is meant to be public.
Content you send: reviews, messages to providers, claims of a listing, and messages through our contact form.
Technical and usage information: pages visited, clicks on contact buttons, approximate location from your IP address, device and browser type. Visitor identifiers used for statistics and abuse limits are stored as one-way hashes.
Public business information: some listings are created from information that businesses published themselves on the web (website, social media, directories). These listings are marked as unclaimed and show their source.
3. Why we use it
To run the directory: create accounts, publish and moderate listings, reviews and events, deliver messages to providers and show providers their listing statistics.
To send service emails such as sign-in links, moderation decisions, claim updates, monthly statistics (you can opt out) and a single notice to unclaimed businesses that they are listed (with an unsubscribe link).
To keep the site safe: prevent spam, fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms of Use.
To improve the site: understand which pages and features are used, through aggregated analytics.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. Legal bases (EU and UK visitors)
We rely on performance of a contract (your account and listings), legitimate interests (running and securing a free public directory, showing publicly available business information, analytics), consent (where required, for example optional cookies), and legal obligations.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember your language and city. We use Google Analytics to measure visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and use Google's opt-out add-on, without losing access to the directory.
6. Who we share it with
Public content: listings, approved reviews (with your display name) and events are visible to everyone. Provider account emails are never shown publicly.
Service providers that process information on our behalf under contract: website hosting and database, email delivery, analytics, mapping, and AI services used for search, translation and the Promin assistant. They may only use it to provide services to us.
Authorities, when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of users, the public or our company.
A buyer or successor, if our business is reorganized or sold, under this same policy.
7. Transfers outside Quebec
Some service providers store or process information outside Quebec and Canada, including in the United States and the European Union. Before transferring information, we assess that it will receive adequate protection, and we use contractual safeguards.
8. How long we keep it
We keep account and listing information while your account is active. Deleted listings are kept for a short recovery period and then removed. Statistics are kept in aggregated form. Contact and outreach records are kept as long as needed to answer you and to respect unsubscribe requests. We may keep some records longer when the law requires it.
9. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, withdraw consent, ask that we stop sharing or indexing it, and ask for a copy in a structured format. EU, UK and some US residents also have the right to object or restrict processing.
Send requests to hello@ukrainianpages.com. We answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or your local data protection authority.
Businesses listed from public information can ask us at any time to correct or remove their listing, using the "Remove this listing" link on the page or by writing to hello@ukrainianpages.com.
10. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and limited staff access. No system is perfectly secure; if an incident creates a risk of serious harm, we will notify affected people and the authorities as the law requires.
11. Children
The site is not intended for children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Accounts are for people 16 and older.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. Important changes will be announced on the site or by email.
